Visual Perception
Visual Perception activities include: Computer vision and machine learning for semantic interpretation of real-time dynamic scenes observed by video cameras and other sensors. The major problem of the semantic interpretation of dynamic scenes is the large gap between the subjective interpretation of data and the objective measurements provided by the sensors. We plan to address this issue by proposing new techniques for semantic segmentation, object detection and recognition, and also learning and activity recognition.
