Lino Marques is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the
Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of
Coimbra, and a senior researcher at the Institute for Systems and
Robotics (ISR-UC), part of the Advanced Production and Intelligent
Systems (ARISE) Associated Laboratory. He leads a Field Robotics group
at ISR-UC, having been involved in several national and European
research projects in the areas of mobile robot olfaction, robotics for
search and rescue, robotics for humanitarian demining, and environmental
monitoring of water and atmosphere in large sea harbors. He is member of
the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society having chaired its Special
Interest Group on Humanitarian Technologies. He currently serves as ICRA
editor for Aerial and Field Robotics for the period 2023-2025.
